Inspired by ancient wisdom and life lessons, our mission is to make sure everyone in our squad, especially older siblings, family members, friends, and community members, lives these values and sets the tone for the younger ones in our crew.
At The Big Sister Club and The Big Bro Club, we’re all about leveling up and thriving together. Let’s go! Our ongoing campaign, the #GrayMentorshipMovement: The Gray Way, focuses on boosting the influence of our peer groups and inspiring more people to step up as mentors. The color gray, symbolizing wisdom and balance, is our guiding light on this journey. 🌟👥
Here’s one of the things the color gray stands for in our campaign:
1️⃣ Bridge of Gray: Just like gray bridges black and white, our peer groups bridge the gap for those facing mental health challenges. 🌉

Happy Thanksgiving 🦃😊🫂! Celebrate by learning about the unique challenges of rural mental health, from limited resources to increased isolation. Dive into key statistics and insights to better understand the mental wellness landscape in rural communities.
Greetings from Prof. Williams, aka Gran Queen, Founder of The Just Stop It Podcast Team! 🎙Rural Power Ups!“Let it snow, let it snow”.Yeah, we’re in the snow season. It’s still an opportunity to maintain our mental wellness. Each third Thursday of every November celebrates National Rural Health Day. It’s the best time to exercise our “rural power ups.”
Mental health struggles can be challenging in any setting, but rural communities face additional hurdles due to limited resources and increased isolation.
Our mission is to enhance communication between families and mental health professionals regarding mental health awareness 🏥👨👩👧👦. Were focusing on rural and city areas to enhance communication.
Eye-Opening Facts: 📚 🌟Rural residents face higher rates of depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders than those in urban areas.🌟According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), suicide rates are nearly twice as high in rural communities.🌟65% of rural counties lack a single psychiatrist, and over half have no licensed psychologists or social workers, making mental health care difficult to access.🌟Being displaced from their homes due to natural disaster effects of storms or other weather related incidents 🌟 Rural communities face increased displacement risks due to lack of home insurance and improper assessments or denial of payment by insurance assessors.🌟Rural mental health challenges are sometimes accompanied by fear and judgemental attitudes by those in close knitted communities.
Don’t accept the snow job of ignorance from others. Stand 10 toes down. Find your rural powers:
